The Sruleen Young Author's Competition Winners!!
This year, we had a 'Young Authors Competition' in the school for the children of 4th - 6th class and we were blown away by the talent and very proud of the efforts of the children who chose to enter the competition and write their own story! We ultimately ended up with 8 winners and each of the winners deserve a special mention for the fantastic stories that they produced! Our Sixth Class really enjoyed the Local GAA blitz!
Our Sixth Class boys and girls played their final Gaelic Football matches for the school in March at the local schools GAA blitz which took place on the Round Towers Astro on the Monastery Road. The boys and girls played brilliantly on the day and indeed have been outstanding Gaelic Footballers for us over the past few years - some of our best ever players, for sure! Mr Lawlor's 6th Class Jan to March
The children have had a very busy few months. Hat's off to all their hard work! St Brigid's Day The children got to firstly make and then teach their Buddy's how to make a St Brigid's Cross.
