Ms. Murphys class have been developing their fine motor skills by learning to sew using hessian, wool and plastic needles. 3rd class had great fun designing their hessian with different stitches and helping each other out along the way.

In Ms Kearns' class we were busy learning about the digestive system. In pairs/threes we drew the digestive system and wrote the function of each part. Look at our magnificent drawings.

On Thursday the 6th of February, our running team participated in our first batch of races against 15 other local schools down in the race track beside the leisure centre. We are delighted to announce that we had our most successful day at the races since we first signed up to take part in them many years ago. We had a whopping six winners! These champions included brothers Luke and Zach Healy, Kesther Efe, Lee Victory, Abbie Kerins and Sarah Fagan. There were also a number of other excellent performances including Wiktor who finished second, Kayla, Sean and Brandyn who all finished Third and Jonathon and Dylan who finished Fourth in their respective races. Pupils representing 4th, 5th and 6th classes had a great time at the Credit Union Quiz yesterday. In the under 11's category one of our teams came joint 2nd! A wonderful achievement. Congratulations to all who participated!
