History has been made this year as it is the first time ever that both our girls and boys have battled their way to the finals of their respective Cumann na mBunscoil competitions in the same year which will be played in the prestigious venue of Croke Park, no less. The girls will be competing in the shield final of the Corn na Laoch competition and the boys will be competing in the Cup final of the Corn O'Donnchu competition. Both our teams are very young but what they lack in experience, they make up for with fighting spirit and determination and we are so proud of them and excited for them as we all know it is every young gaelic footballer's dream to get the chance to play in Croke Park. We would like to thank the children for their immense efforts and enthusiasm but also the parents for their support and encouragement. It doesn't go unnoticed!
I am sure we will all savour the big day, give our best and be proud of ourselves regardless of the results. The matches will take place in less than two weeks time and the school will inform the children and families about the match details as soon as they become known to us! Up Sruleen!!
