A wonderful day at the Santry Athletics Championships!

At the end of May, our Sruleen children had a great day at the Santry Athletics Championships. All the children competed so well and we are very proud of how they conducted themselves on the day. A special congratulations must also be extended to our three medal winners on the day. For the second year in a row, Alex won a medal in the Under 14 600 metres, this time earning the Bronze medal in what was a 600 metre final of blistering pace. Amelia added yet another medal to go along with her winner's medal from Croke Park in October, demonstrating great natural strength to earn the Silver medal in the Under 14 Shot Putt. And Sammy became our first ever Gold Medal Winner in a long jump event producing a hugely impressive jump of over 4 metres on the day! Lacey and Sadie both reached the final of their respective sprint races too but it has to be said that each and every one of

our competitors gave a great account of themselves and their behaviour was exemplary which is the most important thing! Well done everyone!
