A wonderful achievement by our 5 a side team!

Having won the South Dublin 5 a side tournament a few weeks ago, our boys qualified for the Dublin finals and competed against all the best teams out of all the schools in Dublin today. It was a really high quality tournament and our boys fought all the way to the final proving their class but were beaten by an outstanding St. Marnock's of Portmarnock in the end. This is a really wonderful achievement by this group of boys as this was a tournament that only the cream of the crop could qualify for! Well done to Dylan, Zach, Max, Sean, Lee, Jamie, Jake and Leon for doing both themselves and the school proud. This is yet another medal for these boys to add their cabinet following their runners up medal from Croke Park last October. You all have very promising football careers ahead of you if you continue to push yourselves and put the work in!

It has been a really hectic two months of football action as the boys have competed in Three different competitions : the Pegasus cup, the Clondalkin league and the Dublin five a sides. Although there are still two league fixtures to fulfill, we will give the boys a break from the football for a while! We have switched up the teams at times to give as many players (especially from sixth class) a chance to play for the school as possible and we have been really impressed with the depth of talent we have in the school. All the boys who have represented the school this year have done so with great commitment and determination. The sixth class will be allowed to fulfill one of the remaining league fixtures and Team 3 will fulfill the other but these fixtures probably won't be fulfilled until June. Hopefully, we will have a few more team

photos to add to the website before the year is done. We want to thank all the parents and grandparents for their support and for helping us out so often with lifts to matches. Our participation in these football competitions wouldn't be possible without your help and support!
