Ms. O'Donovan's sixth class was one of three classes which represented the school at the RDS Primary Science Blast last Wednesday. Our Project was one of 95 on display on the day. Our Project was all about "Food Myths". Does an apple a day really keep the doctor away? and Do carrots really improve your eyesight?
Our results showed that apples did improve the health of the 13 people in the class who ate them each day for a month, and that 10 of the 12 children who ate carrots for the month showed an improvement in their eyesight and eye tests.
It was a really fun day and the children spent time at the stand, viewed other stands in the exhibition zone, took part in hands on fun science experiments and demonstrations and watched the live shows!A great day!
