The Great Famine 5th class 

In Ms. Kearns 5th class, we can been busy learning about the famine in Irish, History, English and Art. We are currently reading 'Under the Hawthorn Tree' which depicts the life and hardship endured by three young children during the famine. We used charcoal to draw a scene from the famine. Take a look at our masterpieces.

Measuring Madness

First Class had lots of fun learning about length. They used their metre strips and cubes to measure lots of things around the classroom, even each other!

January in Junior Infants

Ms Leonard‘s class have been playing phonics games, practising letter formation, making patterns, playing in the doctors surgery and building towns.

Our Favourite Books

We are learning all about the Library at Aistear time . We have been sorting books into Fiction and Non- Fiction and have written our own mini-books about our family . Some of the children brought in their own favourite books to share them with the class .
