Ms. McDonnell's 3rd class wrote acrostic poems for Mother's Day this weekend. The class made Mother's Day cards to put their poems into.

Ms. Ivers Class had fun on Thursday pretending to be in a St. Patrick's Day Parade. They marched around in a big circle outside, playing their instruments and waving at the crowds. Good Job everybody.

Congratulations to 2nd and 3rd Class upon completing the Junior Achievement Programme. They worked very hard over the last six weeks learning about what it takes to build a city and run a successful ice cream business. A big thank you to their excellent facilitator Stephen. Look how proud they are with their certificates.

It was such a beautiful day outside we went for a walk around the school grounds to look for some signs of springtime. We found Daffodils and Cherry Blossoms.

We did some great recount work based on the story of St. Patrick. We composed questions and answers based on the five w's Who, what, where, when, why and how. Take a look at some of our fabulous work!

Ms. McDonnell's 3rd class painted pots of gold with rainbows and shamrocks on paper plates for their Saint Patrick's Day Art.

4th, 5th and 6th class have been researching animals and plants native to Ireland for our Biodiversity flag. Have a look at some of the fantastic projects they have done!

We have been learning all about the hairdressers in Aistear this month. We visited our local hairdressers, had a mad hair day and did loads of fun activities in class.

We had a great day celebrating our favourite books.

We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 2nd November 2017. We dressed up as our favourite characters and did lots of buddy reading and reading activities. It was great fun. Click on the Gallery to see some of our excellent costumes.

We really enjoyed World Book Day. Lots of us got dressed up. In our class today we had Harry Potter, Willie Wonka, a wicked witch, Wally, superheroes, a footballer, and lots of beautiful princesses.  We read stories in class and had buddy reading with our 6th class buddies as well. A super day!!!
