Valentines Day Art in 3rd Class

Ms McDonnell's 3rd class painted lovely pizza slices on paper plates for Valentine's Day art today. The children stuck on red love hearts onto the pizza slices and captioned it 'You stole a pizza my heart'.

Ms.O'Donovan's class trip to the library!

On Thursday February 9th we went to Clondalkin Library. In class we are doing the library in aistear so it was great to see a library in action. We met Clara the librarian who told us all about the library, how we can become members and showed us where to find books for our age. Tegan brought her library card so we were able to see how to borrow books on the self service machine. We had a great time!

Full Attendance Awards

Last week we celebrated our 100th day of school. Congratulations to all the children who earned their full attendance certificates. Well done!

Learning about Time

We are busy learning about time in 2nd class. We are using small clocks to tell the time. We are also using laminated clocks and white board markers to draw various times.

Environmental Poster Competition!

Sruleen have entered South Dublin County Council Environmental Poster Competition. We had to design a poster and a slogan relating to one of the three themes: Water Conservation, Anti Litter or Energy Conservation. Have a look at some of our excellent entries!

The Ancient Greeks 

Ms McDonnell's 3rd Class have been learning about the Ancient Greeks. The children worked in groups to research and write about different Ancient Greek topics such as, Ancient Greek Clothing, Ancient Greek Food and Ancient Greek Houses. The class also designed Ancient Greek vases.

Debate Team Success!

Congratulations to the debate team on winning their first debate against St. Francis Xaviar's School. The motion for debate was food waste should be made illegal. The both teams were very strong and made excellent points. We wish our opposing team the best of luck in the remainder of the competition. But for now its back to work for our next debate on February 16th. Well done everyone!

When we were little

Ms. Flaherty's class have been learning all about when we were little. We had a show and tell. We brought in important mementos and photos from when we were babies. Check out the photos from our class presentations. Good work Everybody!
